So, apparently they'll have an "old school hot hatches" segment. From the trailers and sneak peeks it seems Clarkson went for a Golf GTI and Hammond from a Fiesta. How much do you want to bet that May will, once again, have no imagination and announce "as you can see, I've done this properly and bought a Peugeot 205 GTi" ?

Everything. And I'll be awfully glad that he did, because, well, would you want to watch an 80s hot hatch comparison with no 205?
Peugeot - quite justifiably, considering how utterly shite they've been for most of the show's run - never really get any love on 'new' Top Gear. I'd love to see them feature a few models - 205 GTi, 106 GTi, 306 GTi-6 etcetera - from the marque's glory days, to at least remind everyone that, for a long time, the Peugeot badge was synonymous with affordable, practical fun, and the best-handling ordinary cars you could buy, rather than a mark of shame.
